Yes, I came across a CDP election leaflet on the ground this morning. For some reason, the CDP appears to have leafletted Kings Cross, and has put up a number of posters along William St, advertising it’s black tie clad Senate candidate.
I’m not surprised I didn’t receive the leaflet in my unit block as I can imagine residents throwing it in the bin. The leaflet’s headline is
and opening up the leaflet reveals the CDP’s policies, of which the first is:
Immediate Suspension of Islamic Immigration
The CDP is calling on the next government to implement a social impact study on Sharia Law and Muslims in Australia. While performing this task, the CDP policy of a 10-year moratorium then gives the 340,000 Muslims already living in Australia the opportunity to show that they obey Australian laws and embrace the Australian way of life.
An who will judge whether “the 340,000 Muslims already living in Australia” obey “Australian laws and embrace the Australian way of life”? Pauline Hanson? Fortunately, there’s little chance a CDP candidate will be elected to the Senate.
The CDP’s policies seem to be hardly Christian.
